Birth Stories Please - Can You Help?

November 18, 2009

Midirs has received the following request - can you help?

We need your inspirational birth stories for a book we are putting together for the empowerment of women and the benefit of their babies.
It is difficult to hear about birth being wonderful without it being attached to a negative so we intend to change that.
Everyone is very aware that birth can be difficult for women and their babies; there is an abundance of literature on all that can and could go wrong, our aim is to redress the balance.
We want to collate enough beautiful stories that women can feel only awe and wonder when they read this book , they feel calm and supported knowing how women have experienced birth ,what is possible as a woman at this time , what are the elements to their success , and how can we become empowered too .
Ask your Mum , your Granny , your friend , consider your own experience and please send us your wonderful birth experiences , for the benefit of babies yet to be born ,
Get writing and sending, and we' ll look forward to receiving, thank you ,
